Demi Lovato Went Off On Time Magazine's Decision To Name Donald Trump Its Person Of The Year Runner-Up

She joins many people who also deem the decision “hypocritical”.

And while it’s important to note that the magazine bases its list on the people who “for better or worse have done the most to influence the events of the year”, and that Person of the Year is therefore not always an accolade, Time also named President Donald Trump its runner-up.

Many people were angry that the magazine had chosen to champion the survivors of sexual harassment and assault while simultaneously offering the runner-up position to Trump, who has been accused of both in the past.
